Explaining your needs to a teacher

Telling a teacher what you need is easier with the words ready. Tick what fits, ignore what doesn't, and bring it with you.

Open with one sentence: "I learn best when..."
Name the specific thing that helps: extra time, written instructions, a seat near the front, or a quiet signal when you need a break.
Say what gets in the way, plainly: background noise, being put on the spot, or long stretches without a pause.
Ask for one change to try, not ten. One that works beats a list that gets ignored.
Offer how they'll know it's working, so it feels like a shared plan.
Pick your moment: a quiet minute after class beats the middle of a lesson.

You're not asking for a favour. You're telling them how to teach you well, and most teachers would rather know.
