Your energy timetable

Your energy isn't the same all day, and pretending it is only makes hard tasks harder. When you know your real peaks and dips, you can put the demanding work where the energy actually is — instead of fighting yourself at the wrong hour. This is a map of your day, drawn by you.

How to use it

Fill it in for a few days — not just once. Each block, mark whether your energy is low, medium, or high, and jot a few words about what you're doing and how you feel. Don't plan around what you think should be true. Watch what actually happens.

After a few days, look for the pattern. Most people have a clear peak block or two, and a reliable trough. Once you can see yours, match your tasks to it: put the hardest, most-focus work in your peak blocks, drop admin and easy busywork into the medium dips, and let yourself rest without guilt in the real troughs — pushing through them rarely works anyway.

Everyone's curve is different. A "morning person" template won't fit a brain that comes alive at night, and there's nothing wrong with either. The point isn't to become someone else's version of productive — it's to stop scheduling your hardest hour for the moment you have the least to give.
